How To Use snack.fitness
Welcome to snack.fitness! Here’s a guide to getting the most out of your daily movement snacks.
1. Get Your Daily Workout
Every day, the app generates a new "movement snack" for you. It's broken down into three parts:
- Warmup: A simple movement to get your body ready. This is just a suggestion and doesn't have a checkbox.
- Essentials: The core of your workout. Aim to complete these exercises with high intensity.
- Extras: Optional exercises for when you have more time and energy. You can expand this section by clicking on it.
Click the three dots (⋯) on any exercise to see its description and change its difficulty.
2. Customize Your Snack
Open the Settings menu on the main workout page to tailor your snack to your needs:
- Daily Exclusions: Feeling sore? Temporarily exclude certain body parts or muscles from today's workout.
- Permanent Exclusions: If you have an injury or a specific preference, add exercises or muscle groups here to remove them from all future workouts.
- Regenerate Snack: Don't like today's workout? Hit this button to get a new one, which will respect your exclusions.
3. Track Your Progress
- Check It Off: As you complete each exercise in the "Essentials" and "Extras" sections, check the box next to it.
- 7-Day Consistency: The tracker on the main page shows you how many of the last 7 days you've completed at least one exercise. Stay consistent to keep the number high!
- Myo-Sets (🔥): The flame icons track your training volume for a specific muscle group over time, helping you apply progressive overload. The more you work a muscle, the more flames you'll see, until it's time for a rest (💤).
4. Take Notes
Use the collapsible "Post-it note" section to jot down anything you want. You can track how you felt, modifications you made, or any other thoughts about your workout. Your notes are saved automatically.
5. Backup Your Data
Your data is only stored on your current device and in your browser. Go to the Backup page to download a file of your progress. You can use this file to restore your data on a new device or in a different browser.
